Sold High on Many to Build this Team

Postby Seanyfever » Mon Feb 26, 2007 1:31 am

Fourth year in keeper. I got lucky with draft last year, and sold high on much of talent. I need to narrow idea on one more keeper, but your thoughts.

Pick one as my last keeper..... 14 teams; 14 keepers

Trying to put a package deal to get someone else but tough to see more as I have doen all year. I got lucky this last year drafting the sorts of Howard, Verlander, Liriano, Papelbon, and Weaver..... Yes, I took some long shots and it is rare so many trn out. I have tried to sell high on all these..... Now taking chances on overpaying for some talent because I have no room to hold. Just got Sheets and upgrades in this and next year's draft for Weaver, John Patterson, and Chuck James.

14 KEEPERS so FAR: Likely going 12-13 Keepers next year.

Leaning to Papelbon or Schilling
OR getting a third OFer. Targets?
Expos... Gone, but not forgotten.

trade as many of those as you have to to get another OF.. package all 4 of them to someone without great keepers... you know how it works.. good luck with it..

otherwise--- Papelbon, Schillings, Figgins, Hoffman (alot of guys will get svs this year, you can find them then)

I wouldn't keep any of those. I agree with jtrain that you have to trade up for one guaranteed keeper that you will not question. ... p?t=253487
