Is it wrong for me to want a pitching staff of Randy Johnson, Chien-Ming Wang, David Bush and Rich Harden? I want Johnson, Wang, Bush and Harden. If that's wrong, I don't want to be right.
But seriously, why would anyone draft Wang? His K-rate is horrible. The only thing you can hope to get from him is wins, but that's such a volatile category each year that you can't count on it.
I would not want that starting rotation, Harden/RJ are big injury threats, Bush is not proven yet, and just as you said Wang's Ks will be nonexistent, his high WHIP indicates his ERA could balloon. In fact, I'd be disappointed with that starting rotation.
i don't really like wang very much, like you said his Ks are terrible, his whip/era are nothing special, and Wins are hit or miss (though you have to like his chance at Ws moreso than others because he's on the yanks)
