Joe Crede...??

Anyone think this guy can have a similar season to last year, or was last season an anamoly? i know he's always had pop, but to get his batting average above 245 was a pleasant surprise...

If this guy can come up with a 30 homer/280 season again he'd be a great late round flier...

Don't slate this guy for any sort of primary or semi-primary 3B option. He had a great year last season, but he's got lingering back problems that are likely to sideline him and sap his power/consistency.

Since he put up great numbers for him and had back problems all year, I see no reason why he can't produce similar numbers. He is supposed to be fully healthy and seems more confident in that loaded lineup. I have him in my al-only league and expect a nice season around 30 hrs and 100 rbis, batting around .275

ive watched Joe his entire career, he finally produced how i and many other sox fans had envisioned him doing last season. i would target him in late rounds after all the 3b studs have been taken. i would agree with the poster above, in that he should not be drafted as your starting third baseman - the position is too deep.

defensively, he is one of the best in the game. its a pleasure to watch the guy play the hot corner. being that he has only had his one breakout season offensively you very well could get one of these two outcomes:

.250 20 75 or .285 32 103

he could be the next morgan ensberg...monster year followed by crap.
Vaughn: What's that sh*t on your chest?

Harris: Crisco, Bardol, Vagisil. Any one of them will give you another two to three inches drop on your curve ball.

My projections absolutely hate Crede:

.269/27.3/69.0/87.0/0.3

That makes him the 28th best third base eligible player. !+)
