I've got Tom Manning as well. I got it from two different sources.

One of my boyhood heroes was the PA man at Cleveland, Tom Manning. Manning got his job in a strange way. He was a newsboy. In those days, youngsters sold papers on the street. To grab attention and make a sale, they would shout out the headlines. Manning had such a strong voice he was voted "The Loudest Mouth in Cleveland."
A redhead with a sparkling personality, Manning graduated from his PA job into radio. It was Tom who broadcast the famous called-shot home run by Babe Ruth in the 1932 World Series.
