What are everyone's thoughts on Troy Tulowitzki, the shortstop prospect for Colorado?

I can't seem to find a general consensus on him. I've seen him ranked as high as #4 on a list, and as low as #25 on a list. He's one of the few highly rated prospects that I haven't seen play in person, so I don't know a lot about him.

Where would you rank him overall? Where would you rank him among shortstops (obviously behind Brandon Wood)?

1.)Brandon Wood- The Los Angelas Angels haven't given up on Wood at short stop yet although, he has been receiving work at 3B during spring training. It's also likely he'll eventually be a 3rd baseman. However, given that the change isn't official he sits a top my SS rankings. Wood has 30 + HR power at short stop. He'll likely hit around .270-.290 at the next level. Deffinatly an impact bat and it's hard to find someone with his kind of power at shortstop.

2.)Stephen Drew- I realize he is no longer really a prospect. However, I'll include him on this list. The reason I place Drew slightly below Wood is I don't believe Drew has the power potential that Brandon Wood shows. Drew however does have power potential and could hit 25 HR a year. He'll post a better average then Wood. He should post around a .300 average.

3.)Reid Brignac- Yet another power hitting short stop. Brignac is like a poor mans Brandon Wood. He has 25 + HR potetial in the majors. He will most likely be the top short stop coming into the 2008 season. Theres some talk that he may have to switch positions however, I think he'll stick at short stop.

4.)Troy Tulowitzki- Should be good. Very good defensively. He should be better then Bobby Crosy. Should hit around .280 with around 20 HR.

5.)Erick Aybar- Speed not a whole lot other then that. Could be a utility player.

6.)Elvis Andrus- Lots of potential. Didn't too too bad for a 17 year old in his first year. He could be a lot like Rafael Furcal or Edgar Renteria. He could be #1 on this list in a couple years if he developes as many hope.

Where would you put him overall then?

Wow, overall since he's a rookie and hasn't proven much yet I'd put him in the 15-20 range this season. In the future he should be a top 10 or 15 short stop prospect. I can't think of all the short stops that are ahead of him right now but, Id put him in that ranger for now. He could be higher then that because, he plays in Colorado. It's tough ranking position players once you get past a certain number because, they all start to look similar in stats.

i'd rank them like this:

Stephen Drew - does it all, has plus power, plus contact, plus speed(doesnt use it as often as he should)

Reid Brignac - reminds me alot of wood, i dont think he has as much power but he'll hit around .280-.290. hes not that great defensively at the position, not as fluid and his range isnt as good as Tulo's

Troy Tulowiski - good power, .270ish hitter with exceptional defense for a player his size. (Col. factor wont bring him over the others imo)

Brandon Wood i wont list here cause i very highly doubt he stays @ SS.
