your team is solid dog. Very nice job. I give ya a 9/10!!
Magglio Ordonez and Rocco Baldelli worry me. A bad week may land both on the DL. I like the fact that you have Mattews on your bench. Tankersley could be the closer in FLA (I hope so, cause I drafted him too), but I just found this:
Gregg A Frontrunner For Saves In Florida RotoAuthority Today, 02:36 PM When I last checked in on Florida's closer situation, I leaned toward Henry Owens as the slight favorite. However, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com gives 28 year-old veteran Kevin Gregg the "early edge."
Frisaro also mentions Taylor Tankersley, Matt Lindstrom, and Owens. No mention of Ricky Nolasco in this article. Frisaro penned a separate article about Nolasco, and had this to say:
"Florida, right now, is moving forward with plans to keep Nolasco as a starter. But if a closer doesn't surface in the first few weeks of Spring Training, he may be asked to shift roles."
So keep an eye on Nolasco as well.
Back to Gregg. Frisaro says he throws 91-94 mph with a sinker and slider. He was a starter in the minors, always a good sign.
Gregg's shown nice command over his career - a 2.5 K/BB. He's pitched exclusively for the Angels in the AL West, so a switch to the NL should help a bit. Gregg's groundball percentage curiously dropped from 48% in '05 to 36% in '06. Let's hope he can fix that.
Barring a terrible spring, Gregg probably starts the year closing. He's at least as capable as any of the other candidates, so this could stick.
I like your team a lot. You have a lot of closers so you could spare one in a trade. I do like Baldelli I think he will put his potential together and have a great 5 category season.
I think you'll be hurting a little for SBs. Dunn is a nice pick up considering you use OBP instead of AVG. Your rotation is excellent, and I'm willing to bet a 1-4 of Halladay, Sabathia, Willis and Pettitte is the best in the league. Keep an eye open for possible closers as you might have trouble with saves. But overall you did a solid job building a contending team, and I daresay this is a top-three team in your league. Nice job!

Thoughts? Thanks.

Nice dude. I think you are set in power and OBP, but like the others have said, speed might be an issue. If you don't wanna pay to get it, maybe a guy like Upton will come cheap because of the concerns around his playing time (though I don't think there should be any). Baldelli and Ramirez are the only real burners you have. Matthews should get you a handful if you mix him in. The Angels love to run.
For pitching, I think you may hurt a little in K's man. Halladay and D-Train should help your ratios, but they just don't miss alot of bats. Guys will emerge during the season so don't fret, just play the wire hard. I like stashing Pedro. Lidge should help your K's, same with Fuentes, so I wouldn't be worried about your closers at this stage. You don't have that one lock for a closer but that's ok if you are willing to be aggressive on the wire to nab one that emerges - and in a 10 team league it ain't a big deal. Just keep an eye on the Wheelers, Broxtons, and Sorianos.
I actually like Freddy Garcia better than Pettite. I think Andy is going to struggle back in the AL East. Garcia should see his numbers improve on the league change alone.
