Wrong forum?

Here's my (kind of optimistic) projections: 13 W, 4.10 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 155 K.

Garza has some solid minor league numbers, but with Gardenhire's background with letting young arms toil in the bullpen before they start, as well as his poor showing last season, I think someone like Glen Perkins has a better shot at that last rotation slot.

No doubt he's a huge prospect and dynamite to having in a dynasty or keeper format, but I think his expectations for 2007 are too high.

Garza really needs a good spring to make the team.

Gardenhire said that he thinks Ponson will get the 5th spot of the rotation :-°

I think he will have some growing pains in 07. I really like him for 08 though.

That's what I was coming here to post. I don't expect Garza to make it into the rotation...too many old arms that they can't just send down to the minors. :,-(

I'd expect him to start the year in the minors and be brought into the rotation after either somebody gets injured, or Ortiz, Ponson, or Silva struggle in their spot. He has a lot of potential, but for this year I can't see anything more than 8 wins or so with an ERA around 4.50.
