WOW. his OBP of over .500 in the second half is wild too. alot of comes from the walks he was seeing down the stretch, which you can definitely expect this year. if only Burrell could raise his avg up to the .275-.280 range again, maybe pitchers wouldnt just look right over howard and plan to attack burrell.
Burrell belongs ahead of Howard. The Phillies would be a better team that way. Howard needs a high average free swinger behind him, imo.

Hafner started at 1B on the 6th in Cleveland's game versus the Yankees.
This is the correct answer. However, if you draft in the last half of the first round, just wait and grab him when he comes back. Then laugh at the rest of your league all season.

Howard is top 10, but not 5 like i have seen. The article says about the same as i did. Add in a extreme hr/f ratio, and his numbers really suggest a drop to 280 45 110.

I'll cafe bet anyone that he does better than that.

The key word is suggest. No one knows what players might get lucky or unlucky with hit rate % or hr/f ratio this year. The rbi should be 120. I'm not betting any players exact stats. It's just a general area. In theory he could go .281 46/111 and better that projection. I know i won't draft him top 5 in any draft. I will take one bet. He won't match the .313 58/149 of last year.
