Hideki Irabu

This is probably old news by now, but I consider him a hot pick-up for those looking for saves. But I'm sure by now everyone's got him on their radar, and he's been picked up in most leagues. I think the closers job is Irabu's until he loses it, even if Rocker starts to pitch well again.

I find myself with my foot in my mouth after making jokes about him at the beginning of the season.

Kudos to the Rangers for this move. Irabu seems focused like never before, and has gone from scrap heap material to legitimate closer. I agree that he'll hold off Rocker, and there's no timetable for Zimmerman to come back yet.

I certainly join Chicago in finding my foot in my mouth, and I'm sure we're not the only ones...

as a yankees fan i have to admit as well that it was with mixed hope and disgust that i dropped Remlinger to get Irabu, however it has worked out very nicely for me as he's already gotten me 5 saves. I still maintain that the fat toad is an accurate moniker
