In a head to head league is there any benefit to having 2 divisions?

People have more possibility of being interested b/c they have an opportunity to be closer? We did not do it in baseball last year in our office money league but did it in football and had a CRAZY finish w/ the fates of something like 8/ 12 teams coming down to the last week and everyone got on board to do it in baseball.

Now we have to decide whether to go random or Cubs fans vs. Cards fans or some other way to split ourselves up... :-?

agreed, it can make the last few weeks of the season more interesting, especially if you give a bye to the division winners

The main reason I like fantasy baseball so much more than fantasy football is because FB has so much less luck involved. I see the addition of division doing nothing but making it less likely that the best teams will do the best. Therefore, I see no reason to have divisions.
