I see him as good as the 4th or 5th pick, I'm not sold on a repeat type season from Soriano, A-Rod is just a hard guy to feel comfortable with, Howard is a stud, Reyes I am suspicious of a repeat power performance, and Pujols and Santanna are no brainers IMO.
Of course I'm probably looking at every bright spot I can find to feel this way considering I'm a fan of the player. Am I stretching it or is this reasonable. I'm thinking 30-35 HR's is possible, along with more RBI's on a maturing offense, BA will be hard to repeat, but the guy has the potential for a big power push with how young he is, any SB he gets is a positive.
These are the only guys I would definitely take ahead of Cabrera. I could make an argument for him at any point after these guys against the Sorianos, Beltrans, Crawfords, Utleys, and Wrights of the world.
So, the earliest I would take him is 6th by my rankings, but if he fell to 10 I wouldn't complain, but I would snatch him up in a heartbeat at 10 or later.

I took him 3rd last year and wasn't dissappointed, that said... I think I would definitely take Reyes over him (power/speed combo at a scarce position), and then I probably take him 3rd (though I think about Santana as well)
Obviously I would take Pujols over him. I would also go with Reyes over him. Maybe Santana, but overall, I would take him first half of the first round.
There is absolutely no way that Howard or Reyes are a lock over Cabrera as he's outproduced both of them over the past 3 years. Personally I have him at about #10 but I'd have no problem with someone taking him 4 or 5.
