No, I agree. The year before he was at a hit per inning. Just saying he had a heck of a run last year.....moreso than I realized.
LOB% and BABIP tend to be categories of luck, while there are exceptions to the rule i just stay away from those pitchers who had what seem to be unsustainable low BABIP or a lucky LOB%, i'd rather have a guy like vazquez much much later who pitched much better than his stats would suggest (high BABIP, high K/9)
If you keep it real simple he's a guy who was 3rd in whip & 6th in ERA. He plays in a pitchers park & is in a division where the teams aren't known for their offense.
For a stretch he was untouchable. What's not to like? He's not a big name so you should be able to get him at a decent price.

Honestly, he had a great season in 06 but he was just as lucky as he was good. I am still unsure about his abilities and I do think he will be overvalued going into 07.
