I think you did pretty well. Nice pitching staff as a whole. Very nice OF. I think B.Phillips will be adequate at 2B. You could use upgrade at 1B in my opinion. Or you could put Berkman there and try and package Fielder/Pettite for a quality 2nd tier OF.Overall not too shabby!!!

team looks like a contender with one exception to me- why only 4 starters? you wont need 3 1b, or 3 3b, and i dont know that id carry 2 catchers either i'd consider dropping or trading some of those extras and picking up some starting pitching

I agree that this team should be a contender but I also agree that you need another quality starter.

Thanks for the feedback so far. There are a few decent pitchers on the waiver wire....

Penny
Lilly
Contreras
O. Hernandez
Sowers
Hudson
Blanton

I'm thinking of grabbing Penny for Quentin, and then possibly Contreras or Lilly for Tracy. Good idea?

I like Penny for Quentin. I'd do that. If David Bush is available he would also be a nice option. A guy way down the waiver list i'm gonna keep an eye on is Randy Wolf. I just have a feeling he's gonna have a nice year and rebound.

Ditto. I also think Hudson will do fine in 07. Keep an eye on Garza as well.

Tracy, Thomas, and Patterson were nice picks IMO. Get another starter, Penny off the WW looks good. Not too bad...

Help?
