My wife is really stricken with allergies at the moment, as everything is just starting to bloom here. We're headed out for a weekend road trip to California this afternoon, but she's still really weighed down by the sneezing and congestion.
I recommended Benadryl, but she says it makes her drowsy. Anyone else got any suggestions??
I've been taking Claritin D since before it was OTC and it's always worked wonders for me and without too many side effects. It's a little expensive at the drug store, but worth it for not being a prescription.
I have hay fever that kicks in right around May 1, so I just pop a claritin once or twice a day, and I'm good to go.

Yeah, I've taken Allegra too, but it's still prescription-only in the US and I think it works just the same as Claritin... and the Claritin-D has a decongestant too. Although, I think it has that stuff they use to make meth now, so you might have to show your ID to buy it.

Even better! I'll have the girl buy plenty of extra.
I just called her at work and told her to go buy Claritin-D at the corner store. Thanks for the tips, guys.
