Well deep is a good name for it. I just don't see how he gets the playtime to put up any significant value on a team with so many young players looking for AB's. Granted arizona is the most overrated team in baseball going into this season (except for maybe the Cubs and Tigers) but thats because after Webb their pitching is going to stink (sorry RJ is not healthy, Davis and Livan are just not very good), but their hitting depth is for real and I find it hard to envision Hairston getting much playtime.
I dont' really see a good match for a trade with him either, they are pretty set for players all over the place so the only trade that makes much sense is for a more established backup C or a bullpen arm.
