Well in general the projections downplay high upside players and overrate established aging players, so I wouldn't worry too much if one didn't like my team.

Yeah, it was a very nice value there. I'm not the biggest Reyes fan out there, but A guy who can do it all and steal 60 bags in a roto league is a very valuable asset and well worth a top 5 pick IMO.
By the way, I would like to thank Fantistics for my league championship.

I'll tell you one thing I learned from this draft: Don't play in a 14 team league this year. I've never done anything higher than 10 so I never knew if I was reaching or if I needed to jump. I missed out on two players I wanted (Fielder and Zimmerman) and went too high on Ryan and maybe Peavy. Then again, those players wouldn't have been there on the wraparound and I would have chosen players who had less value to me. You have to reach in a 14 team league.
By the way, I used PECOTA forecaster pretty much by the book while drafting. Obviously I filled positions, but I always went with the player PECOTA had highest. That info might help someone who's doing the same to know where they might get some players.
14 team leagues are the way to go. 12 team and especially 10 team leagues leave way too much talent on the FA list. If your league isn't drafting at least 350 people you simply have too much talent sitting around.

Agreed. While I'm ok with 12 teamers I do perfer 14-16 teamers the most!!
I was just saying I shouldn't. I am so used to 10 man drafts and that extra 8 picks in the middle of me really screwed me up. Most of my picks I felt I was either reaching or jumping the gun. The only pick I felt comfortable making was Soriano and some of my late round picks.
No matter what you guys (and that "projector") say, I walked away quite happy with my team. You might feel that I "reached" with the Carpenter and Manny picks, but I disagree and feel pretty good about them. For the most part, I drafted right in line with the Rotoworld Draft Guide rankings and projections, paying attention to tiers and position scarcity. I may have drafted a few guys that were stretches, but with the 13th pick, I had to because of the long delay after the order snaked back to me. I definitely feel that other picks were steals and real bargains, though.
