Fantasy baseball is not the same as real baseball. If your league is a standard 5x5 the only stats that matter are 5x5 stats, everything else can be ignored.

So yes, you are overthinking it. In a standard 5x5 things like a double, walk etc have very little impact on someones value. They have a minor influence on R/RBI etc but thats it.
