few issues with this team....

C - varitek is old and questionable and it seems you reached a bit for him (id search the waivers for an upgrade)

i like having freel as super util speed man who you can insert wherever on a given day and i like having hawpe to cover for either markakis or crisp if either falter in the season

i would also consider trading encarnacion in a package when he is hot in the season for a ace for your staff

Pitching

Pitchers must have gone fast for you to draft smoltz in the 5th....

smoltz - i dont think he can duplicate last years numbers.. hes getting old
cc- he has potential to dominate this year assuming he doesnt get hurt
ray - also another player who i question if he can duplicate last years numbers

You seem set with closers and have a good setup man. Starting pitching seems a little weak after your main 4

Is this a keeper/dynasty format if so your gonna be ownage in a few years. This year i see a middle of the pack finish.

Not a keeper, this yr only. I know my pitching is bad but they did go very very fast, I wasnt comfortable joining the SP rush in the 2nd round. Even Lackey went in the 3rd, and I figured most of them were equal by the time it came to my pick in the 4th i was gonna go with whoever has the most value and Han Ram was on the board. Im gonna try to upgrade my OF and SP but i dont know how just yet. I dont have any trade bait except for a closer maybe

Yea, Tek could kinda drop out like he did last year. Also, I am worried about Crisp. I love Boston and all but I dont know for having him as an every day starter for your fantasy team. On a more positive note, Saito was on my team last year and he was just filthy..

Take a look at mine
Thanks, Will Help in Return

Just traded Ray and Weaver for Lackey... pitching is a little more solid. Still looking for one more good bat and to get rid of Smoltz, I offered Smoltz and Markakis for Peavy, see if he bites... I doubt he will. Any more suggestions?

drop your last starter and grab broxton as insurance for saito. I wouldn't worry about starting pitching much with smoltz haren and lackey as a solid 1-3. Smoltz will be fine this year. Let it go for a few weeks before you trade any of that hitting depth - you might not need to.
