I play Sportsline for one league a year because they offer cash prizes, but I really notice that the format is so ridiculous for trade vetoes. Only 4 out of 10 managers need to veto a trade for it to be canceled. I think that is pretty ridiculous. Trades never ever go through. A guy filled out his trading block with Manny Ramirez, looking for a shortstop and steals. He offers me Manny for Furcal and Hermida. I accept, and 4 vetos occur within 24 hours. I really cant believe that that trade would be vetoed, considering it was perfectly in line with his trading block. It's kind of upsetting and ruins the fun of the league a bit. Why bother trying to improve your team if people wont allow you to????
Trade veto policies vary from league to league, its all about what the the league decides is fair. It's situations like these that I dont like to join leagues that dont allow input by the owners for the rules.
By the way, the payouts for CBS leagues are a complete joke, I would suggest playing on another site that offers better payouts.
Blind Bidders Auction Keeper League- League Champ Cafe Bums- Last Place
It's reasons like that, that I only play private leagues where the commish has the veto control. Managers in a public league are dishonest and backhanded and will veto something for their own gain.
lol, I posted on the league board saying that it was an unfortunate abuse of veto power, and that in the future i hoped the league would only veto trades that were evident of collusion or one manager simply throwing in the towel. To which a guy responded:
"This league was not started for altruistic reasons. We all have $150 on the line. Whatever we can do to win, as long as its allowed by the leage rules, then most people I think are going to take advantage of that opportunity."
Basically he is saying he is going to veto any trade that helps improve other teams, which is basically every trade. People like this have no business playing fantasy, if you're only doing it to win money, get a job. I like a pay league because it brings the competitiveness up a notch, but I would never veto a trade for those reasons. Pathetic.

That's why it's best to find an honest private money league to compete in where a good commish handles things.
