Okay, so I need some help and the people here might just be geeky enough to have some answers. I'm trying to shop for my parents for xmas and I've decided to get them that new video game system and some games that they want. But they don't know which system to buy. I know that they both love Tetris on their super Nintendo (they play an hour or two a day), and when they had a regular Nintendo they played Zelda all the time.
So, basically, which is the system for them? And which games would they like? Etc.
Great. Thanks for the help. I think, basically, what they'd want is some puzzle games that don't necessarily have great graphics. Is there any game on the gamecube that is similar to the original Zelda - not too much story, but a good number of puzzles?
My parents don't have the worlds greatest attention spans and get bored sitting through too much dialog/backstory.
Any system, get LOTR return of the king. That is a pretty fun game...the again, for your parents, maybe not. I do think GC. They have a couple of the older games and i think the zelda game that is coming out is kind of like the old one. They might like Mario sunshine too.

I can almost guarentee that my parents won't want to play a game called "Resident Evil." Unless it was about Bill Clinton, in which case they'd be all for it.
But thank you all for your advice. I'll check out the gamecube and see- it sounds like the right choice.
