What should the peanlty be for flip-flopping on keepers?

We had two owners who recently decided to change who their keepers 2 weeks after the deadline had passed. There was no penalty system in place,so they were allowed to do it. I am pushing for a penalty system from this point on,but I need an idea on where to start. I was thinking of penalizing draft picks for wherever the player you decided to keep was drafted. Any ideas?

We didn't have a penalty system set up yet. They "thought" they could flip keepers around until draft day even though the deadline had passed. To keep them from throwing any kind of riot,our commish let them do it without any sort of penalty. The rest of the league has accepted his decision and now we trying set up penalties from this point on.

I guess I don't see the point of the deadline if they can change keepers whenever they want.

The penalty should be that you can't change keepers after the deadline has passed.

I personally don't like the idea of setting keepers and or drafting before a good portion of spring traning has passed. You never know what will happen with injuries and who might win jobs.

And really the only thing that it hurts is the people who have started doing their position rankings, and I don't see the harm in switching them since all they have to do is delete a few players and replace them with someone else.

If anything just say this year they get a pass because there were no penalties stated, but NEXT year the offense will be met with X.

Sounds to me like your commish needs to stop being a coward. No offense, but rules are in place for a reason. Deadlines are deadlines. They shouldn't have been allowed to change, and your league definitely shouldn't adopt a "slap-on-the-wrist" penalty system for it.
