How do you stop teams from tanking in keeper leagues?

We do three things in our 16 team auction league. First, in addition to cash prizes for the top 4 teams, we award extra fantasy $$$ for next season's auction like this:

1st: 30 real dollars
2nd: 25 real dollars
3rd: 20 real dollars
4th: 15 real dollars
5th: 10 fantasy dollars
6th: 9 fantasy dollars
7th: 8 fantasy dollars
8th: 7 fantasy dollars
9th: 6 fantasy dollars
10th: 5 fantasy dollars
11th: 4 fantasy dollars
12th: 3 fantasy dollars
13th: 2 fantasy dollars
14th: 1 fantasy dollar
15th: Nothing
16th: Nothing

Additionally, we also give a cash prize to the team "most improved" after the all-star break. And our trading rules dictate that you're league dues must be paid in full for next season in order to make any trades after the all-star break.

In my H2H league we have 16 teams. It's a keeper, too.

Top 6 make the playoffs for the loot. The rest of us battle it out in a tournament of loozahs. The guys who wins gets the #1 pick. The guy he beats gets #2. The third team gets the #3 and so on.

Those top 6 teams already know they are bottom 6 for the next season. League champ is #16.
