Injury report: Second baseman Rickie Weeks, being held back from hitting drills because of soreness in his surgically repaired right wrist, had an afternoon appointment with local specialist Don Sheridan, who performed the operation.

I heard on the radio that it was just a precautionary measure. :-o

This guy has zero pain tolerance. I think that is his biggest problem, he's a big baby.

He's on a short leash for my team this year.

Xrays and everything came back fine. He got a cortisone shot and should be good to go in a few days.

Until he gets a paper cut and is sidelined for the rest of spring training.

I hope all this talk and fear just drops him more in my upcoming drafts. Then hopefully i can back him up with Kinsler. If weeks is healthy, i truly think he is capable of giving Utley a run for his money as the best fantasy 2nd baseman.

I completely agree. The kid has major talent.

But he has yet to prove to anyone that he can stay healthy.

yeah, your right. injury after injury is giving him a very strong Wood/Prior start to his resume. lets hope he can show he is more durable than an ice sculpture in iraq.

Lol, good joke Frenchie.

I expect this kid to have a big year if he can stay healthy. With the lack of overall quality depth at the 2nd base position, he's a nice add in the middle rounds of leagues.

It's the beginning of Spring Training...I am glad you aren't managing my baseball team, you'd have Sheets throwing complete game scrimmages in February...relax, he'll be fine and expect a 20/20 season!
