Ryan Braun will start the year at AAA Nashville and if everything goes well, will be the Brewers 3B starting June 1st for good.
If Koskie isn't healthy, there is maybe a 10% chance that they'll start the year with Braun up in the bigs. Two reasons: #1 they can save a year on his arby clock if they wait to call him up until June 1st. #2 They want him to work on his defense at 3B.
In that case, Graffanino (R) and Counsell (L) would likely platoon at 3B until June 1st.
I'm not sure why there are questions about Braun handling 3B defensively. Wasn't he the starting SS for the Hurricanes?
Yes he was. He worked with Alex Rodriguez on his transition from short to third.
Well, I'm an idiot and accidentally hit Tulowitzki rather than Wood. While Wood's strikeouts and low average in the minors really scare me, the pure power is just too hard to ignore. Besides, his defense is nothing to sniff at and he will still be a very valuable player at the hot corner.

I don't ever remember Braun playing 3rd for the Hurricanes. I recall him always at SS unless he was DHing.

Stephen Drew was BA's #1 ranked prospect last year over Delmon Young before his call up mid way thru the season. he's been praised by Goldstein as having all the tools and without having the attitude/injuries his older brothers have had. he'd be ranked over Gordon if not for playing in the bigs last year.
to me hes the safest bet with the highest cieling out of HRam. he'll hit for better average, more power and his speed isnt out of this world but its ++ speed none the less.
For fantasy purposes you gotta go with HanRam unless Drew hits like Tejada but i dont think he has the power to do so. should still be an above avg SS right out the gate but IMO Hanley's speed/power combo is too tantalizing to pass up.
I rank em Hanley, Wood, Drew.

you sure about that? id love to see the link
I saw the same thing last year.
edit: Actually, now that I think about it, I don't think it was BA because I'm not a subscriber. Still, he was very, very highly regarded as a prospect nonetheless. Now, would he be ranked ahead of Gordon if he were still in the minors? That's a good question.
