I actually feel like 2B is much the same as SS this year. One great guy at the top, and then the next 10-12 are very close. Maybe Roberts and Cano a bit above everyone else, but otherwise I think 2B is deep and fairly even for the next 10 or so guys.

Sorta on the topic of SS and valuations. Why is everyone so down on freddy sanchez? Most people have him projected at .300 which is a good .040 drop from last year? If you look at his 05 and 06 years he appears to have gotten better the more AB's he gets. I dont see why he wont get the same playing time, and should benefit from LaRoche added to their lineup.
Just kinda curious why everyone has him so low?

Great discussion guys. It may be helpful to see a top 30 or so "MI" rankings - one with SS and 2B combined. Does anyone know if one exists or do you have one to post here?

I think we'll see that 7 or 8 of the top 10 will be SS but that many of picks 10-20 would be 2B. Thus getting along the lines of a top 6 SS, and the #10 and #11 2B may be a good approach in satifying your SS, 2B, MI positions at a decent value.

My top 10 would be:
1. Reyes
2. Utley
3. Jeter
4. Tejada
5. Young
6. Rollins
7. HRam
8. Furcal
9. Cano
10. Roberts

Interested in seeing if anyone could make a top 30...

I doubt he has made any lists in here, but one guy you could target with your very last pick in deeper standard leagues is Alex Gonzalez in Cincy.

He could give you a .265/20/80/80 line depending upon where he lines up.. :-?

i think you can definitely do better than alex gonzalez if you're in a 10-12-14 team league
