Whats the outlook on saltalamacchia (thats a heck of a name to spell ) ? Is this his year to get into the bigs or does he have another year in the minors before?

He's still behind McCann. Unless he gets hurt or Salty learns to play 1B I don't see him in the bigs this year.

If I were the Braves I would move him out from behind the plate already. Stick him in LF or 1b and see if the numbers come back to life.

Hes got a big bat, maybe catching was taking a hit on his body. I dont believe in Scott Throman for the long haul so its worth a shot to stick him in LF or 1b.

Salty's looking very good to start the year. In 22 ABs so far he's hitting .364/.462/.864 with 3 HR. That's a third of the homeruns he had all of last season in 313 AB.
