Felipe Lopez at 2nd Base

With the return of Christain Guzman,Lopez will be playing 2nd & batting leadoff this year.Lopez' value as a S.S. is a little low but I believe his value as a second baseman shoots him up to maybe the top 3 2nd baseman available.What do you guys think?

Definitely gives him more value, but he doesn't crack top 3.

Whoa, this is a very interesting point. A little underrated in my opinion. To have the ability to swipe a guy like Lopez and put him at 2B could be a great steal.

Really, what is the difference between Lopez and Brian Roberts? (a guy who has been going 2nd at 2B in many drafts).....

Yeah that is a concern. Can we assume that Bowden is stupid enough to start Guzman and Lopez over Belliard and Lopez?

Lopez is underrated, in most drafs anyway. I'd say this helps him, but he is good value already, so this just helps him.

That's the plan. Bowden said he plans on having Guzman start at the beginning of the year. This will give Lopez enough starts to probably keep his 2B eligibility in Yahoo! next year, but I assume Belliard starts at 2B and Lopez at SS not after too long.

That Belliard signing worries me.Hopefully Lopez gets enough time at 2nd to qualify early in the year!

i sorta think this is bad news that belliard signed with the nats. felipe's defense at SS is below-average, so if belliard is the 2b and lopez is the ss, i can see felipe losing abs throughout the season because of his defense.
