#2 - Colorado Rockies (thank you Astros, #28)
#4 - New York Yankees (apparently Cashman's done something right, eh Yanks04?)
#8 - New York Mets
#29 - San Diego Padres (well, wrs/dm??)

Yeah, the Padres farm system is pretty bland, but we have 7-9 first round/supplemental first round picks in the upcoming draft, so I'm pretty satisfied we'll have a strong minor league system soon...especially noting Alderson's history of strong draft classes.
Our '06 class was actually pretty solid, but our system, collectively, is certainly poor.
Big difference between the Yankees being 4th best overall and 11th. The truth is probably in the middle, but that is still quite a difference between two ranking systems.

Baseball Prospectus' list is way better. They have everyone within at least 3 spots of where they should be.
As for the Hardball Times....Tampa bay? At 14th? They are loaded. Also, the Royals should be Top 10, not 28th. Thats just terrible. They also overrate the White Sox, Cubs and Indians.
Is pushing for President Obama to pass a law requiring all citizens to be Chicago White Sox fans and make October 1st "White Sox Day" where we all dress as our favorite player. It maybe socialist, but I don't care.
