What two do you think will be the best 5x5 pitchers of Colon, Miller, and Nomo? I need to acquire two of these guys for my keeper league. I know it's not the best options, but its what I got. I took over for a team and all the good-great pitching is locked up and not moving. I've already made a few moves and here is my team:
My team is Pujols, Helton, Chavez, Beltran, Carlos Lee, Livan Hernandez, Frank Thomas.
I want to get rid of Thomas and Hernandez while their value is high and pick up two pitchers with talent.
Nomo---LA, pitcher's park, k's should increase this year, need offense to get some wins though.
Colon---I think he will do better this year.
Miller---an enigma, he could be outstanding, or a bust again.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
Interesting, that less then a year ago, many were putting Miller in Hudson like company. Now, one shaky year, (4.13 era), basically a typical Colon year, and he's last. Maybe you are right.
But i still like Miller. He had 20 fewer hits then innings (means they aren't hitting him hard), had a 2-1 so ratio. I think his era was maybe a aberration. Colons had 1 big year. It was in nl with no dh. Probably all 3 are close, although in neutral parks, i think Nomo would be last. If you compare Millers and Nomos numbers, they are pretty similiar except for era. I'm going with
Miller
Colon
Nomo

Didn't think I would ever say this but Hootie I have to disagree. They don't pitch in neutral parks. Nomo pitches in a great pitcher's park, Colon most likely is going to the Yanks, and Miller pitches in a band box. Thow in the fact that Miller is somewhat injury prone and Colon and Nomo are workhorses.
