Just one question... I'm very unfamiliar with prospects. But isn't Delmon Young supposed to be the second coming of ARod? Why is he 2nd on this list?
Well it was a close vote, Delmon Young was first on 4 ballots and second on 5. Alex Gordon was first on five ballots and second on four.
Gordon in his first year of proball went straight to double A and dominated. He won Baseball America's College player of the year and Minor League player of the year awards in back to back years.
Don't get me wrong Young is an amazing player, but Gordon is at least his equal.

You're welcome!
By the way, this would be a great addition to the Cafe's Rankings page. If you formatted it in a grid like the Early Rankings with each player's pick and rank, that would be quite a useful tool.
Wonder if we'll get a rankings icon or if this needs to be published as an article However there is someone already doing prospect rankings as an article in here, so I um, I don't know....

I had Delmon 1st but a lot of people are putting Gordon 1st. This is a combination of a few things; 1) Delmon's immaturity 2) Delmon's inability to draw a walk and 3) Gordon's pretty damn good in his own right.
