"Ghettoness/gansterness", did not come to mind for me. More like "trailer trash"
Much more Ghetto than Trailer, IMO.
As for it looking like blood. I just don't see it. I guess the BoSox one looks like blood. But when you actually know what they are trying to do you can see that it's just paint. Should we ban red paint?

Agreed. I've seen both and don't remember trailers being "tagged". Only buildings/sidwalks/cars in the ghetto.
Anyway, not a fan of the design, but if there's a market for that kind of hat, they will sell. Oh, and it sure doesn't look like blood to me.
Expensive hats though. $32 + $5.50 for shipping? Thanks but no thanks.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
Those will sell well. It's a good idea too. It's a big thing to wear fitted hats among youth in urban areas, and this is just recognizing that. The graffiti tag idea is actually a solid way to further push that market. I don't really buy fitted caps, the last one I bought doesn't fit me anymore, but if I saw that one in a store I'd consider getting it.
I think these hats are a little bit cool. Baseball has had a problem attracting younger audiences. I think its a waste of time to care strongly one way or another though.

I believe the message is "you bleed your teams colors". It's interesting that there are no Chicago Cubs bleeders. Do teams have creative control over which products will carry their logo? Or did marketing figure Northsiders wouldn't dig the bleeding red and/or blue?
They screwed the Pirates hat up by unnecessarily adding bleeding red, which along with the Boston hat, gives the whole collection an eerie feel.
