Orioles named Lee Mazzilli manager and signed him to a two-year contract with two one-year club options.
Mazzilli, who had been the Yankees' first base coach, becomes a major league manager for the first time. He went 220-197 in three seasons as a minor league manager for the Yankees. Mazzilli has said he'd like to emphasize team speed, so his hiring might lead to more stolen bases. However, not much figures to change in Baltimore

Not that the Orioles will be good or anything, but there is a little piece of info to stick in your cap.

Hmmm.......Brian Roberts stole 23 bags in 112 game last year......... Now he's got an aggressive manager..........

He will go quick now. There have been a few guys we discussed in this forum who for some unknown reason were almost immediately picked up in the mock draft. Lol. :-b
