yeah I saw that too...

I am famous for only posting stats that favor my arguement. :-) Looks like Cruz gets it... But an arguement could be made for Gonzo too. Over Andruw? yes.

close voting for the OF. I just never saw Cruz's name coming... I'll call it a shocker.

a good argument can be made for the others...but those two....wow...

Holy hell you couldn't be anymore bias if you tried.

Zero errors. You act like he shouldn't even be on a major league roster. ;-7

............GP GS INN TC PO A E DP % PB SB CS CS%CERA
I Rod 138 134 1132.1 970 915 47 8 9 .992 10 40 20 .333 3.82

MMath 138 121 1096.2 823 774 49 0 7 1.000 5 40 15 .273 4.58

I think a good case can be made for both sides.....I just hadn't looked at the defensive stats that close.....but still after looking at them I don't know that Matheny is the clear winner....agreed he has no errors this season....but when looking at the opps, chances and the cs%....the favor has to go to IROD.... :-)

If you guys watched any Giants games you would know why Cruz Jr. won it. He was a shoe in in my mind. He got to so many balls and was nearly flawless. Like JT. Snow in his best defensive years, Cruz won games for the Giants, with his defence, on a regular basis.

Your views are most likely dominated by the post season.

Hehe, sorry, Cruz was the best right fielder in the NL BY FAR and it is sad to see so many knowledgable baseball fans who are clueless about one of the NL's best defenders (especially when he plays on my home team ;-) ).

Doesn't a Gold Glove list without Maddux' name on it look somehow incomplete? ;-)

Props to Matheney. ;-D Even though I would have rather seen IRod win it.

Cruz Jr? I guess he does have to win games with defense, he sure doesn't do it with his bat. 8-o OOPS! Did I just say that out loud? 8-o

Tell me about it! After he was leading the league in homeruns, at the end of the first week of the season, I thought he was finally going to be the 30-30 man that he was predicted to be.

Cruz will actually be a decent sleeper next year. Everyone knows that he choked in the playoffs, offensively and defensively, and that he only hit .250 during the regular season. But, did you know he had 20 HRs and 90 runs in his S.F. venture?
