When you all say 8/2 or 7/3, that's anywhere in the first ten picks? I'm starting to consider going all bats the first 7 or 8 rounds then clean up on arms after that. I usually go 3 bats, then an arm, an elite RP around 6/7 and my second SP around 8/9. I'd feel pretty damn good if my top 3 SP were, say, Dice K, Kazmir,and Cain.

Under the LIMA plan, I believe closers are lower in priority although you want to shoot for breakout closer candidates. Last year a LIMA plan person might've aimed for Chris Ray and guys of that ilk when picking closers.
I could be wrong on all of this, but that's the feeling I got from it.
You're really talking about Tier 2 considering Santana is all alone in Tier 1... but I too am having hard time ranking this tier! I like Carpenter the most, and prob Oswalt second most... but then it's a toss up
