I agree. That's part of why I was so high on the Arod signing. $25 million a year for the best player in baseball? Good deal to me, when Manny had $20 million a year, and quite a few others were in the $16-$18 million range. I felt like it was a bit much now, but after 3-5 years, it would look like a steal. Turns out the market corrected itself, and it's biting us in the butt a little.

Now if Vlad's new deal breaks $20 million per, then it will make Arod and Manny's contracts look a little better.
