Theo: "Great, loved you on the Game of the Week way back when."

JG: "No that was my dad. Hey listen...I was wondering if you'll agree to this. We'll give you Curt Schilling for Manny. And you guys kick in 5M each season to help pay him."

According to ESPN his salary is $10 million. If you tack on the extra $5 you're paying to get rid of Manny, that's a whopping total of $15 million..

If he's making $12 that's even worse...$17million?! 8-o :-P

They WANT(!!) to get rid of him as we saw with the waiver thing. And they are married to him through 2008 (team options for '09 and '10). 5M per season is nothing compared to the 100M owed through 2008.

So, yes, the 5M plus Schilling is alot but they get another starter and they lose Manny.

Why would Arz want Manny Ramirez? The seem to have a nice cohesive clubhouse, cancer free.

there is a huge difference between Mondesi, who complains when he is not happy, to Manny Ramirez, who complians cus he woke up.
