I thought he said he would stop playing it. Guess not.
Joel Zumaya believes the way he grips the baseball when throwing -- not lengthy sessions of Guitar Hero -- caused the forearm problems that limited him at the end of last year. "They had a tough time trying to find out what was wrong with my arm," Zumaya said, "and I told them I was playing this guitar game. I don't believe that's what it was, and to tell you the truth, I haven't stopped playing it." Zumaya is expected to remain in a setup role for the Tigers this year.
Either way, I have this Queens of the Stone age song stuck in my head now. I tried so many times this morning but can't beat it..

oh no way. you only live once. its not like hes skydiving. i play the game at hours on end and my forearms are never sore. there's no way this game is causing his arm problems.

OK, come on. If you were a young stud pitcher just getting started on what looks to be a quite successful and extremely lucrative career in baseball, would you ignore your boss's request to stop playing a stupid dinky video game?? And then would you go on to publicly state that you're still playing it against the boss's orders? Who cares whether it's actually causing his arm trouble or not.
