First Of The Year

Postby LionsandTigersOhMy » Mon Feb 12, 2007 5:09 pm

Feeling extremely unprepared, I posted before the draft looking for some guidance. I had all my sheets laid out like a General planning for war but I feel like I was defeated. Let me know what you think of this travesty.

CBS H2H league

Varitek
C Delgado
C Utley
C Jones
D Wright
H Ramirez
H Matsui
J Damon
A Jones
M Ordonez
F Thomas
O Perez
M Buehrle
T Hudson
K Escobar
F Hernandez
T Gordon
J Patterson
J Schmidt
Chris Ray
T Tankersley
R Halladay

Actually I feel OK about the offense. It's the pitching that has me worried. Lot of injury risk there.

Yes, while your staff does have moderate risk the reward is huge. Halladay and Schmidt are legit Cy Young guys when healthy, hernandez while shaky is bound to improve this year and buehrle is set to make a nice comeback somewhat under the radar.

Your offense is pretty solid, especially the infield. Your pitching is a little scary. If Halladay and Patterson can have healthy seasons then I like your chances, despite having the very questionable perez, hernandez, and buehrle who really struggled last year. Watch spring training and make sure the issues associated with some of your starters are in fact not really issues. The only other area I would look to back up would be your relievers, I'm not sure that you'll be competitive with saves.

well you can always play the ww for two start matchup pitchers all year and win your league. I've done it.
