Alright, now before everyone here posts and says "Yeah, but it's a meaningless awards show" blah, blah, blah...
Let me just say, that it is the biggest awards night for music, and you wouldn't just write off the Oscars for movies.

So, how in the heck did The Dixie Chicks win Album of the Year over the Red Hot Chili Peppers? And Record over Gnarls Barkley? Am I the only one who thinks this is horrible?

Stadium Arcadium should have won everything in every category even if it didnt qualify.

Sure I would. But anyway, I didn't even know the Grammys were tonight, and I have no idea what was nominated for what, but I agree that the Dixie Chicks shouldn't have won.

I just looked up the nominees for best album of the year and I must say that the nominees are horrible.

If I were to pick from the nominees, I would have picked St. Elsewhere

Music this year was pretty bad. Plus, giving the Dixie Chicks all these awards is basically admitting, "you guys were right about Bush, it just took us longer to realize it". All the nominees were awful, so i think the academy or whoever gives out the grammys just felt like making a political statement.

That's a pretty good list. I'm pretty surprised that Bob Dylan didn't get a nod.

Didn't know about them until they were over, and wouldn't have watched had I known. I'm not overly concerned with who wins what, all I care about is how the music actually sounds. Sometimes it's a popular song or album, sometimes it's something others either hate or have never heard of. Awards don't change anything for me as to what sounds good.
