I'm pretty sure if you ask a Churchman for his view on a religious matter, you have to expect it to sound churchy.
Yeah as you said you are a pastor, I am sure if I answered a question, it would sound quite -athiestese as you put it.
Nice

Wow, someone got burned by a Christian/church some time in their past. Want to talk about it?
Oops, sorry to any of you I may have offended by inserting that 'F' in there.
...and no, not burned. Maybe, I just needed to vent and I guess I have a hard time coming to terms with how freakin' misled and hypocritical some Christians are.
I'm not sure what experiences you have had but you can trust me when I say that no one here is going to force feed you Christianity or tell you how you need to live your life. The mods won't allow it. I understand topics like this can get people heated but none of the people who posted in this thread have done anything to you. If you think we're misguided and hypocrites then that is your opinion but you're a member of the Cafe so please remember to display some sensitivity to other peoples beliefs.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

And this is an opportunity I'll take to mention that I am an agnostic. I've spent plenty of time evaluating spirituality in my life and I have decided that I have no way of knowing within human comprehension if God exists. But Amazinz is absolutely right; if there were ever a forum of tolerance, this is one of them.

Get a clue, man. I don't think anyone was offended by the "OMFG", but more likely the fact that you essentially called everyone of faith in this thread sheep. Are there Christains who blindly follow scripture or their religious leaders? Sure, but it doesn't seem that many of those posting here would fit that category. And being a "sheep" definitely isn't something that's exclusive to Christianity. You come off like a 15-year-old who just read Nietzsche for the first time.

It's obvious to me that he feels he's more intelligent than anyone that believes in God. Well, I for one agree with him. After all, isn't his genius apparent after reading the two posts he's made in this thread? That in addition to the judgement and discretion he's just shown tells me he's easily the smartest one here.

What percentage of Christians would you define as "some?"

Listen guys, I am sorry I posted what I did....I did not want to interrupt this thread, it always healthy to talk about your probs. You are right, I expressed myself like a child and I shouldn't jeopardize whether or not the forum gets locked. For that, I apologize.
I didn't realize some of you would take offense to the word 'sheep'. I just assumed that when one says "Jesus is my shepherd" that you are in effect calling yourself a sheep.
In my original post, I wanted to express how weird it is to hear children and adults alike call for the death of Harry Potter because he is a Warlock in the documentary Jesus Camp (which this thread is entitled).
