How many think Weeks will be in the majors by mid season 2004? He's the latest scouting report on him.

I think Ginter is going to have a career year next season and Weeks will not be a starter until 2005.

Where do they keep coming from? 8-o

I've heard of the "Baby Boom", but I guess 20 years or so ago, we started the "2B Boom". Lol. :-b

Not sure if Weeks will stay at 2B. According to the scouting report his defense is a shaky. But if he does stay at 2B and hits like he hit in college and the minors he'll be a big time fantasy player.

I had the same feeling about him...not sure why.I planned on drafting him late as my CI possibly..I was wondering if you have a reason why? :-?

i bet weeks stays in the minors most of this year, barring a very very horrible 2b platoon in mil.

Ginter looked decent in his 2b starts this season and he is still fairly young. He just seems to have a good baseball make up and I can see him having an impactful season in 2004.

It wouldn't surprise me if Ginter put up Morgan Ensberg type numbers making him a very valuable 2B.

In a mixed league...I would let Weeks pass...and try to grab him on FA....(Free agency, for wrveres... ;-)

).....In a NL only league he is worth a shot in later rounds..... :-)

Here's what I've found on Weeks:

Rickie Weeks - 2B - Milwaukee Brewers Nov 4

Rickie Weeks went 3-for-5 yesterday to raise his AFL average to .321.
Weeks, the second overall pick in this year's draft, has just two extra-base hits (both doubles) in 56 at-bats, but he has a .437 OBP and seven steals to go along with his nice average. Although the second baseman is almost certain to begin next year in the minors, there's a pretty good chance that he'll take over as a regular for Milwaukee before the end of the season.
