In our amateur draft, college players can be picked. We are have way through our 10 round draft with none taken thus far; however, I would like to know who are some of the big time college prospects likely to be picked in the ML draft in June?

I'll preface this by saying that I have seen very few of these guys and I anyone I have seen has been pretty limited so this is mostly second-hand knowledge, but I'd be looking at:

David Price (Vandy)
Andrew Brackman (NC State)
Matt Wieters (Ga Tech)
Matt Mangini (OK State)
Todd Frazier (Rutgers)
James Atkins (Tenn)

If you can include high school players, I can add some, but with HS guys I will be reporting 100% second hand knowledge.

Price is almost locked into the 1st overall pick this year.

think Andrew Miller type potential.

No, I doubt he will go first overall. Not because he isn't worthy, but signability. Too much money. If he has the season everyone is predicting, he won't get picked first. He will cost too much....he is the best player in the draft though.

The #1 ranked prospect hardly ever ends up going #1 overall in the baseball draft. The Drays have the #1 overall pick and even though I hope Price is the pick, I would not be suprised if Wieters ended up being the #1 overall pick this June.

that definetly wouldnt shock me. both are good picks i just think Price is an incredible talent

We weren't doubting that he and brackman are amazing prospects and the best in the draft. Just that Price will probably be too expensive for #1 overall.

Money has never seemed to be a concern with Tampa in the draft. They have been trying to trade their young hitters for pitching even. I see no chance they take Weiters. I think barring injury, Price is a lock at #1.
