I heard he may be reconverted into a starter in order to ease his elbow troubles and possibly extend his career.

Smoltz told reporters that he will retire before he has another elbow opertation, perhaps causing concern for the Braves' coaching staff and management.

Would you rather have an electric closer for 1-2 more years or a decent starter for 1-4 more years?
