I wouldn't rate Dotel in the top 5 or top 8. Somewhere between 9-15 probally. I wouldn't be to surprised to see Lidge get some saves.

He said top 8 in the NL. And that the GM said the closer situation would be decided in spring training makes you think that they might go with Lidge, depending on what happens.
I'm back. Sorta.

Do not boo Johnny.

There were rumors in Philly before the season ended that Tejada's agent (the same as Thome) had interest in Tejada playing in Philly.

As for the money, they let go Mesa who was to make $6.5 mil and Williams who was to make $5 mil (I think those are the right numbers), which evens out Wagner plus so left over. Millwood already filed for free agency, so there is another $14 mil. Wade even admitted that the Phillies have more money to spend last season at the trade dead line.

Didn't see that one coming, Wow ... There were rumors about Wagner being moved, But Philly? I guess, why not.

Wagners value stays the same .... While Dotels skyrockets. I am sure Lidge will get a chance, But the Jobs is Dotels to lose. I can't see Dotel losing the job, though. This time next year we will be talking about Dotel being a top 5 closer in MLB IMO.

also if Tejada is going to Philly? where is Rollins going.

Does Dotel's value really change? It depends on your league. In my H2H league we have 10 pitching categories of which saves is only one. I've had Dotel on my team the last two years and he has been huge. He scores in APP, IP and Ks. He'll even kicks in 5-8 wins a year.

Are you trying to be funny? }:-)

I like having 10 pitching categories becaudse it devalues the closers. Closers are overrated....
