My Second Base Rankings----Let me have it

Postby ChipperJonesFanatic » Thu Feb 08, 2007 10:59 pm

Okay, first of all I want to say that I was shocked at the results of my rankings. From what I have seen, second base is very thin (obviously) but also very close ranking wise. Again, this is done by tiers.

Tier 1
1. Utley, Chase
Tier 2
2. Kendrick, Howie
3. Roberts, Brian
4. Uggla, Dan
5. Lopez, Felipe
Tier 3
6. Weeks, Rickie
7. Lugo, Julio
8. Kent, Jeff
9. Giles, Marcus
10. Kinsler, Ian
11. Cano, Robinson
12. Durham, Ray
Tier 4
13. Barfield, Josh
14. Castillo, Luis
15. Lopez, Jose
16. Iguchi, Tadahito
Tier 5
17. Phillips, Brandon
18. Polanco, Placido
19. Cantu, Jorge
20. Kennedy, Adam
21. Burke, Chris
Tier 6
22. Castillo, Jose
23. Valentin, Jose

Agreed. I also think Lopez and Weeks are too high.

it's a good start, but definitely needs work. Kendrick and Uggla need to be dropped and Cano bumped a lot of slots up.

I would still take Roberts over Kendrick at this point, and Cano should be in the 2nd tier. Otherwise the rankings look great. ;-D

Kendrick way to high for my liking, he may be a superstar in time, but I don't feel right taking him there this year.

Is everyone else this high on Kendrick? I dont know much about him and dont have him all that high on my draft radar.

He's like Matsuzaka for me, he's good for keeper/dynasty leagues, but there is a lot of hype I don't buy for this season; there's no way I'm taking him that high in a redraft.

My honest opinion is those rankings are just terrible. I don't agree wtih any of your tier 2 guys except Roberts and it doesn't get much better after that.
