His glove is underrated. In 7 years, hes been above league range factor every year. Hes only 27, so he's right at peak now. What you should expect, is a 280 average, 30-35 hrs, 100-110 rbis.
Miggy was really inconsistant this season and he has established a reputation as a 2nd half player. Isn't 2nd half player inconsistant spelled backwards?
As for the defence, he has great range but I am not sure about his hands. I went to an A's vs. Giants game two seasons ago and Miggy maid 5 errors, but the A's score keeper only gave him 3. Think about it, 5 errors in one game, some guys go years without making that many errors!
So, you are wrong HOOTIE. Hehe, no other way to put it .

So you are basing his defense on 1 game you saw? Nice sample size, wouldn't you say? I honestly don't know why Beane hasn't made him a dh yet? Miggys only had 1 year with over 21 errors, 26 at age 22. Who would have thought the best defensive ss to ever play (Ozzie), would have made 25 errors, followed by 24. You say that game was 2 years ago?
01 .973 fielding % league average .973
02 .975 fielding % league average .975
Miggy, 4.61 career range factor to league average 4.46
.970 fielding % to league average .972
Nomar .969
Renteria .968
Jeter .973, with no range, 4.00 range factor
When you play roto, and you expect Miggys 30 hrs 100 rbis, does it really matter when they come? Let's look at his 3 year splits 00-02 anyways for fun.
april 229 avg 14 hrs 43 rbis
may 299 18 55
june 286 14 65
july 291 13 55
august 288 18 68
sept 319 13 58
April hes bad, but basically the other 5 months hes pretty consistent.

ohhhh, that might have been a mistake.
You are about to get bombarded with some very oscure facts.
wrveres called his shot!
Savage, I'm learning quickly that those of us who don't have lots of balls under our names should be careful what we say to the guys who have the balls. Those guys almost have to make this stuff their entire life to be able to make that many posts. Just a little observation that may be helpful to you and me and the rest of us who are fairly new to the cafe.

Just cause we have the balls to post... Lol.
Trust me, i'm still learning every day from people with much lesser posts than I. And I never disagree with HOOTIE. Mad and I disagree on a few things, but he doesn't bombard me.
Sorry to do this, but you were really getting on to someone about their english skills before, so here it goes:
Was Tejada wearing a maid's outfit when he made those errors?
I have to admit that it would be a funny sight to see if it was true.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Bottom line: Don't mess with HOOTIE when it comes to stats unless you are totally, 100% positive, that he made a mistake. Double check everything before leaving the door that wide open.
