An agent for Marlins manager Jack McKeon said he expects McKeon to attract endorsement offers, now that he's received national acclaim for guiding Florida to the World Series. At 72, the former Padres manager and general manager was the oldest skipper to win a World Series.
"We're packaging a book deal now," said John Boggs, who is based in San Diego. "This is the most colorful guy in the world. He did it his way. If Frank Sinatra were living, he'd be very proud of Jack."
Boggs said McKeon's son suggested that McKeon do commercials for Viagra.
"There are so many products he can apply himself to," Boggs said. "He's going to be hot. I just hope we don't wear him out."
Boggs is on a roll, too. His other pitchmen include three of this year's Cy Young Award candidates – Mark Prior, Esteban Loaiza and Russ Ortiz.
LMAO ..... good for Jack. couldn't of happened to a nicer guy...
