Because the White Sox have $49 million committed to seven players for next season, there's a slight chance Magglio Ordonez will be traded. Carlos Lee is more likely to go, but Ordonez has a lot more trade value. An Ordonez-for-Alfonso Soriano deal is something that could be considered. Source: Chicago Tribune
Things are really starting to heat up now.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
I'm not sure about either question, but it certainly adds to all the rumors going around. I didn't expect this offseason to be this busy.
By the way, what's your fascination with "natural" center fielders? Either you can run fast and catch, or you can't. Pretty simple to me. Chuckle, chuckle.

some players get a better read on the ball than others.. Actually it was a joke, and not a very good one. But i'd love to know his contact status, anybody?
I know the A's are interested in Kotsay, and I know we can't get Beltran (boras) so, I was just trying to feel my way into Towers head. He is keeping very quiet for a man with a check book. IMO
As much as I like Maggs, I wouldn't trade Soriano for him. I don't blame the source but every rumor will be attached to the Yanks. Soriano will be fine and if put in the outfield like he eventually should, he will be fine.

I was wondering if you had an explanation for why every rumor is attached to the Yanks.
Actually, it is two-fold:
1. Because they didn't win the Series so George is fired up to make changes.
2. Because players like to involve the Yanks (whether they really are or not) so that their value can go up.
3. Given their (Yankees) recent past- the sheer amount of big moves they have made, it is likely that the Yankees will make a big move, more so than any other team, so the rumors true or not, seem more plausible.
