Agree on Gorz.

Kuo may get a shot at the #5 shot, but I doubt he wins it.

Sanchez and Johnson both may have arm injuries.

I'm not sure how you can say Bailey won't be a factor. Sure, he's going to start in AAA, but I think he's just as likely as Lincecum (for example) to be a major contributor in the Bigs this year.

I also think Bailey is up by Memorial Day and makes a strong run at NL ROY. I don't think Cincy's FO is going to let Lohse, Saarloos, or Elizardo Ramirez hold Bailey down if he dominates AAA like he did to AA last season.
At least I hope he is, I just bought him for $8 :-o

PlayingWithFire wrote:Matt Garza :-? Good rep, but no outstanding pitch

Actually all of his pitches are outstanding or has the potential to be, the problem is he can't throw them for strikes or doesn't know "when or where" to throw them.

.....I guess that makes his pitches less than outstanding if he can't locate :-b but his pure stuff is quite good, IMO!

I don't think he will do much this year but I can see a nice season out of him in '08.

Jason

he has 4 plus pitches , which tells you he is at least a 2nd starter maybe future #1. last season he didnt throw his breaking stuff enough and relyed too much on his fastball that touches the high 90s. he was unhittable in the minors last year and thought he could just throw it by everyone up in the bigs. it will be different this year, very solid 07 season coming...
