Super Bowl Snickers Ad: Pulled For Being Homophobic

I thought the commercial was idiotic anyway. Sometimes I don't understand what ad execs are thinking. I know everyone wants to find the next pop culture reference and be considered a genius, but think about what you're advertising.

"Oh look honey. Those two gentlemen really wanted a candy bar and they ended up accidentally kissing. I could go for a Snickers right about now."

Seeing two guys kiss equals wanting a Snickers? Huh?

So the question that comes up is, does freedom of speech require a license to offend? Should we be allowed to speak out and say what we wish in a free and open society provided no one is offended?

I think our society should try to mirror that of England in the movie V for Vendetta. Surrender your rights for protection. O:-)
